"The Tall Order of Taming Change" by GBN CEO Eamonn Kelly appeared in the March 17 edition of the Financial Times. In the article, Eamonn describes the causes and consequences of growing uncertainty and recommends six concepts that will enable businesses to embrace paradox and the unknown, becoming more successful and adaptive organizations.

"Paradox and the unknown are uncomfortable. Most of us have learned to present our bosses with answers and solutions, not questions and problems," Eamonn writes. "But by adopting this approach and sticking to certain tried and tested strategies, we run the risk of using counterproductive coping mechanisms and ultimately moving backward, rather than forward." Eamonn's article attempts to inspire organizations to seek and adopt more productive ways of managing uncertainty and, from there, to establish new paradigms of human organization and learning.
